SIN 899-7
Geographic Information Systems Services (GIS)

Geographic Information Systems provide a valuable method for gathering detailed ecologic, biologic, and geographic data to support environmental, economic and legal analyses.  ENTRIX has supported a variety of federal agency clients with GIS and geospatial services.  Geospatial information integrates disparate information like charts, photographs, statistics and databases, and can be extremely valuable in revealing patterns and relationships and predicting trends—as complex solutions often become more obvious when depicted visually.

ENTRIX has leveraged its GIS resources to provide critical information for a variety of projects, such as identifying spotted owl locations and habitat; soil strata and ground water levels; water rights; flood inundation and parcel boundaries of flooded lands; flood conditions as elements in FERC relicensing procedures; as well as wildlife habitat analysis for threatened and endangered species; and historic cropland location and acreage analyses.
