Federal/State Special Status Species Services
ENTRIX has extensive knowledge and experience with Federal/State Special Status species. This includes experience with the regulatory requirements of the Eagle Act, and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. ENTRIX teams have worked on projects involving mussels, fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and plants throughout the United States. We also have provided data and expertise to Federal/State resource agencies regarding population data and habitat characteristics to aid in the review of population status and habitat requirements for conservation planning. ENTRIX has worked on projects encompassing some of the largest geographic areas and number species to be addressed under strategic conservation programs ever undertaken from a Federal and State agency perspective.
Our goal is to balance species needs with our clients’ proposed project objectives. ENTRIX has developed a unique multi-species potential effects approach and model that allows us to provide quantified estimates of “take” of species along with the “value” of conservation measures. The approach provides a “transparent” analysis that resource agencies and stakeholders can use to achieve concurrence on implementation of species conservation measures. In this manner, ENTRIX helps both project proponents and resource agencies make clear choices regarding project alternatives and conservation actions.
For over a quarter century, ENTRIX has worked closely with state and federal agencies on regulatory compliance issues associated with special status species. In fact, several of our staff members joined ENTRIX after working directly for state and/or federal wildlife management agencies.
