Federal/State Endangered Species (ESA) Compliance
ENTRIX is nationally known for its success in developing strategic and innovative solutions associated with the challenges of Endangered Species Act (ESA) compliance. Our multidisciplinary team has years of experience and a deep technical understanding of the policies and procedures employed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) when implementing ESA. We pride ourselves on our science-based approach, ability to resolve very complicated issues—and ultimately balance species needs, compliance requirements, and our clients’ proposed project objectives.
ENTRIX routinely prepares materials for issuance of biological opinions (Section 7) and incidental take permits (Section 10) that allow for the take of species protected under ESA. Additionally, we have extensive experience conducting federally-listed species status reviews, assessing population characteristics and threats, developing conservation measures, and developing recovery/conservation strategies for imperiled species. We regularly review, organize, and interpret large quantities of scientific information for our clients to support decisions made under ESA. ENTRIX is on the forefront of developing innovative solutions and identifying strategic pathways that provide long-term assurances for species protection while allowing the activities proposed by project proponents to occur.
