Services: Permitting and Compliance

Environmental permitting and compliance is an integral part of ENTRIX’s consulting practice. ENTRIX has performed National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and state-equivalent reviews for some of the most controversial water, natural resource, land use, and energy development projects in the country. We provide in-depth knowledge and responsive quality services to meet the regulatory needs of our clients while offering permitting and compliance services at the local, state, and federal level and in all private business sectors. With a focus on sustainable environmental and natural resource management, ENTRIX specializes in federal and state compliance with the full complement of legislation designed to protect and preserve our human and natural environment, including NEPA, State Environmental Quality/Policy Acts (CEQA, MEPA, SEPA, etc.), Federal Land Policy and Management Act, Coastal Zone Management Act, Endangered Species Act and State equivalents, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Surface Mining Act and others, as well as state and local land use laws and regulations. ENTRIX has permitted both small and large scale projects internationally and throughout the United States and maintains a core staff with special expertise in energy policy and regulation, including DOE, FERC, and State public utility regulatory commission jurisdictional projects involving, but not limited to the Energy Policy Act, Federal Power Act, and Natural Gas Act.

A fundamental objective of our permitting and compliance services is to assist clients in sustained growth by addressing environmental, social, economic and regulatory requirements early in the conceptual and design phases of a project. We assist our clients by implementing permitting strategies and schedules and developing mitigation plans, when appropriate, to expedite the permit acquisition and compliance process. This reduces regulatory uncertainty and protects investor and shareholder interests by reducing environmental, social and economic risks. ENTRIX’s professional staff is noted for its permitting and compliance expertise and will negotiate with regulatory agencies to resolve environmental issues, develop favorable permit conditions, and complete the permitting process in a timely manner.
